Le Cordon Bleu Dusit 蓝带烹饪学习-中国茱丽亚的成长

Forgot to check the Chinese calendar “黄历”, wondered if it's a lucky day to start this blog. Well, it is really not that easy for me to finally sit here to begin a blog. Let's not to risk any chance of withdrawing the idea...

Moved out of China at 2006. Thanks to B that opened a total different door to my world. It is surprising that how I discovered myself could be the "queen" of the kitchen. Bought more and more cooking books back home and love to practice them. Chinese always think cooking is a heavy/dirty job because of the old style kitchen equipments/food materials etc. I found kitchen could be the heaven as long as you got the passion and right tools. Of course, with the one with love who appreciates your cook :-)

Have been settled Bangkok for a year already. Heard Le Cordon Bleu French cooking school having a branch in town long time ago. Wasn't so sure how serious I wanted to take cooking into my life until watched movie Julie and Julia. I love cooking and believe there is a gift in me that I will be a great Chinese Julia Child one day. So happy finally signed in the school. Started April 2010, basic cuisine, taking off Stella and Stella's fresh!

Let this space record every step of my grow. How a Chinese housewife transform to the Chinese Julia Child ;-)

中国人崇尚“民以食为天”,但讽刺的是,厨师在中国却是个不入流的职业。家里人听说我终于决定去法国蓝带烹饪艺术学校上课了,却是担心一个女孩子能吃那苦吗?又脏又累的厨房有什么好的?

去年曾经有段时间,因为爱吃生煎包,我疯狂地跑到上海想找地方正宗地学一学。走了几家网上口碑比较好的烹饪艺术学校,天,破烂的教室落后的设备,难怪没人喜欢当中国厨子了,从根本上自己都没有尊重欣赏自己的饮食文化,怎么施教于人所谓的“烹饪艺术”呢?

先进有趣的厨房设备,美观实用的厨房工具,爱着的等待着美食的家人朋友,谁说厨房不能是天堂?

昨天看了电影“茱丽和茱丽亚”,美国妇女茱丽亚从她37岁开始学习法国烹饪,并且最终出版了她最有名的宝典“mastering the art of french cooking", 700多页的书524个食谱,她在那个年代掀起了厨房的热潮,风靡了成千上万的普通美国家庭主妇。

每次回国,只要有时间我都愿意在家做饭。朋友说你难得回来,我们请你去哪里哪里,新开的餐厅,可好了。我说,自己做,随意好吃又健康。

我梦想,做中国的茱丽亚,把我的朋友们带进厨房,一起分享烹饪的喜悦。
